If you are interested in the Oncotype DX® test and how it can help you and your healthcare team reach a treatment decision, ask your doctor if the test is right for you. Remember, it is for use in women with early-stage (Stage I or II),
node-negative, estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) invasive breast cancer. A recent study has shown that the Oncotype DX test may also be informative for post-menopausal women with node-positive, hormone receptor-positive (HR+) invasive breast cancer.*
If you and your doctor agree that the test is right for you, your next step is to find out if the test is covered by your insurance. Your doctor can help with this by working with Genomic Health's Genomic Access Program (GAP), which can investigate your insurance benefits and provide other services. Or you can contact your insurance company directly.
For information on Oncotype DX reimbursement, as well as other questions, please call (866) ONCOTYPE (866-662-6897).
Please note that Oncotype DX, like other lab tests, must be ordered by an authorized healthcare provider.
* The Oncotype DX report for node-positive, hormone receptor-positive (HR+) patients is not yet available in the State of New York.
